If the number one goal in life is to be happy…then why can’t you just decide to be happy now?
That’s the question I’ve been asking myself.
If happiness was simple and a feeling, surely we should be more happy than we’re not.
What’s standing in the way of your happiness?
Well, “I’m not there. I don’t have this. I’m still here. I need to get out of here.”
Well, let’s backtrack.
Your dissatisfaction is a signal that something is wrong, but have you tried to dissect the problems otherwise? As in, rather than simply saying ‘this place sucks, I need to leave, verbalize why it sucks.’
Okay, so you can’t find like minded people. The people you care about deeply, or at least think you care about deeply are on the other side of the world. You think that the flip side is better (not saying that it isn’t). However, you also know there’s 2 months more on the clock before you make any more moves and surely you want to make the best of your situation. So here’s a list of rules from the logical side to keep you sane.
Rule #1: Never turn down an opportunity. (you know what I’m talking about)
Rule #2: Get out and seek opportunities. (albeit you’ve already written this off as impossible, you actually don’t know who you might meet and you have two months, that’s a long time!)
Rule #3: Network in your own way. (stray away from the conventional since you’ve never been a fan of that anyways, you have your own way of attracting people who’s just like you.)
Rule #4: Realize you have the capacity to be cordial with people. (even if they don’t share your world views and visions, still, be warm.)
Rule #5: Grab life by the horns. (you know it, you badass)
Rule #6: You got this. (this you also know, you badass!!)
